Larry and Jerod! (Dad's Pride)
Granted members are Father Larry L Grant Jr. and sons, Jerod and Jonathan Grant. This anointed family comes from a
rich heritage of preachers, singers and teachers. Larry began playing piano at an early age of 5 at his Father’s church. He
became choir director and minister of music by his teen years. Jerod, like his father began playing at an early age of 6. His
singing was immediately noticed in his elementary school years by faculty as well as his family. Jonathan began playing
drums at the early age of 5. His first public appearance was during a Sunday school Christmas program at the request of
his grandmother.
Approximately 1995 Larry formed a group called United in Chillicothe Ohio. They sang at many churches and political
events. Jerod began singing with them when he was approximately 11 years old.
While Jerod grew physically his talents and anointing seem to explode also. Jerod formed the first gospel choir at the
Chillicothe High School called “Perfected Praise”. Father, Larry, a lot of times played the keyboard for the group and
brother, Jonathan played the drums.
It was soon seen this families joining together was ordained by God. The trio began to be asked to sing at many local
functions. Perfected Praise opened for the Fabulous Vicki Winans when she performed in Chillicothe in early 2005.  The
trio also performed. She enjoyed the singing and asked that a demo be sent for her to listen to.
God began to open doors like never before. The group began receiving many singing engagements. At the time the
bass player for the group’s name was Grant. Upon one singing engagement it was asked; what is the name of your group?
All four having the name Grant as well as knowing God had Granted us this opportunity, they called themselves Granted.
They were also blessed by a local recording studio that began recording them for no charge. The praise and worship team
of the church New Life Christian Church “Harmoni” agreed to do back up. These anointed women have added so much to
the group. They have a harmony and anointing that comes straight from God. This group also made up of family; sisters,
Erica, Anne, Adrienne and good friend Jenny have a connection in the spirit realm. Words can not express the gratitude
and honor to them for sharing their talents and blessings.
